We are looking for a script which touches the audience. This is the most important thing regardless of the genre. We are open
to rom-coms, coming-of-age, buddy films or even post apocalyptic films with ideally a small amount of locations (i.e. Delicatessen) though we are not that keen on horror movies.
The script we are looking for should make audiences laugh, cry and possibly cringe, and the focus is on strong ideas and the emotional journey of the characters rather than gratuitous sex and violence. Also we are strongly interested in the interaction
of close friends or siblings, couples or families, exploring conflicting loyalties and facing major moral dilemmas.
Ultimately, we want the story to leave its mark on the audience.
The script should be well-structured and scenes should be working on multiple levels. Visual language and action are
paramount and dialogue should be used to drive the story and reveal characters.
About the director Andreas Ksoll:
After studying directing at the London Film School, Andreas Ksoll has worked as director, producer and editor on numerous short films, commercials, documentaries and promos for feature films. For his first feature film, he is particularly interested in quirky and touching films set in a world of their own and comedies where the characters remain believable while struggling
with tragic, absurd and comical situations.
Why you should send in your script:
• The script will get made if it is selected
• You will receive a writing credit on a feature film
• You will get a share in the net profits & small upfront remuneration.
Requirements:
Please send 2 pages synopsis and your feature-length script (90-120 pages) to knockoutscripts@ksoll.net
Disclaimer:
You must own the rights to your script. The authors will keep the copyright in their material. Please note that we do not have
the time or resources to acknowledge receipt of every submission. As we are working with a minimum of staff, we are unable to write individual letters, nor can we offer feedback or editorial comment. Although we do our best to respond to every submission, we cannot absolutely guarantee a reply. We cannot undertake to compensate you if material similar to yours, received coincidentally from another source, is subsequently commissioned or produced.
THE CALL IS OPEN THROUGHOUT 2011 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
